Image Shrinker: Photo Resizer

Privacy Policy

How the Android app handles your photos and data

At a glance: Your selected photos are processed on your device, not uploaded to our image-processing server. The app uses Google AdMob to display ads; the advertising SDK may collect and share certain device and usage data.

Effective date: 6 October 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to Image Shrinker: Photo Resizer (Android package com.shivi.imageshrinker). It explains what happens when you select a photo, use editing tools, enable optional reminders, or view ads.

Photos and image processing

The app uses the Android photo picker to access only photos you select. Compression, resizing, cropping, rotation, and format conversion happen locally on your device. We do not send your photos or edited image files to our own server or to advertisers.

Processed files and operation history may be kept in the app's private local storage so you can view recent results. When you choose to save an image to your gallery or share it, the destination is controlled by Android and by your choice of app or service.

Information kept on your device

The app can store operation history, such as file names, original and resulting sizes, and output details, in a local database. App preferences, including reminder choices, are also stored locally. The app does not create a user account. App-private history and settings are excluded from the app's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer rules. Images you explicitly save to your gallery are separate from app-private storage.

Advertising and third-party data

The app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform for advertising and privacy choices. According to Google's Android SDK data disclosure, Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app interaction data, diagnostics and performance data, and device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available. These are used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google says this SDK data is encrypted in transit. The app does not provide your selected photo files to AdMob.

Where required, the app presents Google's consent choices before requesting ads. If privacy options are available in your region, you can revisit them from the app's Settings. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can also manage the Android advertising ID in your device settings.

Optional notifications

Photo-editing tips are off by default. If you enable them, the app asks for notification permission when Android requires it and schedules approximately one to three local tips per day. Delivery timing may vary because Android controls background work. These are local reminders, not promotional push messages from a server. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or revoke notification permission in Android settings.

Retention, deletion, and security

You can clear operation history in the app's Settings. Removing an individual history item does not automatically delete an image you separately saved to your gallery; delete that file through your device's gallery or file manager if desired. Uninstalling the app removes its private local data according to Android's normal behavior. Third-party advertising data is handled under Google's own policies and controls.

App-private data is stored in Android's application storage. Advertising data sent by Google Mobile Ads is protected in transit as described by Google. No internet service is perfectly risk-free, but the app does not upload selected photos for processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes materially.
